We as consumers go out for dinner more and more. Not just a sandwich at the to-go, but often a nice lunch or dinner somewhere. Food culture is changing in the Netherlands and so are consumers. People want to know what's in their food and a more modern approach in the hospitality industry. Due to Social media, "Food Trends" are growing and spreading faster and the modern Dutch restaurant guest is hungry for more information about what is on their plate. In addition, the world has a growing population of consumers with food allergies. And despite the legal obligation of an allergen card, things often go wrong. Research shows that allergens are often wrong on the menu, and there is also a shortage of knowledge among staff.

Furthermore, many people, unfortunately, suffer from diabetes. Eating out is difficult for these people if they don't know how many carbs are in their avocado toast. In summary, there is room for the hospitality industry to improve for the modern Dutch consumer.
