What is ReFood?

ReFood is to be an inventory management application that enables NGOs to curate their nutritional requirements and connect with the F&B companies who are interested in doing good. We connect NGOs and their requirements, to restaurants/cafes and their surplus.

Our Aim:

The aim of ReFood is three-fold.

First, to tackle the issue of urban food security in Delhi.
Second, to provide F&B companies a chance to connect and share without any cost.
Third, to empower charitable organisations to take ownership of their own food needs.

About the Founder

Inesh Uttamchandani :

Inesh is a student of grade 11 at The British School, New Delhi. He has started an Instagram blog called the “Biggest Foodee” with his personal culinary experiences at different restaurants all over the world. He has also started his own line of nutritious recipes for teens to follow, which include small plates, large plates and snack items (such as trail mixes).

Mission Statement And Need:

Leftover food items are very common in the restaurant industry. Cafes often throw out perishable items due to strict hygiene regulations. Even with proper refrigeration they are discarded since they are not perceived as “fresh”. With ReFood, we will be able to cut down on urban food wastage by reallocating prepared food to people who are in need of food.
