Jardin Mental is a customizable journal that allows you to enter all the useful information to assess your state of mental health, monitor its evolution, and understand what influences it. You can use it independently to get to know yourself better, but above all it is a tool to share with the healthcare professional who follows you, to optimize your care by supporting you in improving your mental health and in the management of your mental disorder or suffering.
Thanks to a daily questionnaire that asks you to evaluate personalized indicators of your mental health (symptoms, feelings, behavior or thoughts), to note the significant events of your day, or to provide information on your treatment intake, you will not forget no more important information to report during consultations with those involved in your psychological care journey (psychiatrist, psychologist, psychotherapist, nurse, peer helper, specialized educator, etc.).
Jardin Mental is completely free, anonymous, and no personal information is necessary to use it. No one can access the data you enter in the application, it is only stored on your phone (and is therefore not saved elsewhere). You decide whether you want to show them to a healthcare professional during your consultation, or send them directly by email via the application.
Jardin Mental is continuously developed with health professionals (psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and peer helpers) as well as with users of the application. In order to improve our service as closely as possible to your expectations, do not hesitate to send us your suggestions to jardinmental@frabique.social.gouv.fr or via the “Contribute to the application” button that you will find in the application. Leave us your contact details to be contacted by our team, in order to fully share your user experience.
In “My entries”: you will find your daily questionnaire where you can follow your indicators such as “anxiety, anguish, morale, mood, stress, melancholy, sadness, motivation, quality of sleep, libido, insomnia” or behaviors. You can also enter your medication intake, such as antidepressants, by choosing from the pre-filled list or by customizing it if it is not a medication commonly prescribed by a doctor.
Thanks to personal notes, record all the events and thoughts of your day. In addition to being a personal journal, it can help me understand if a particular event is influencing the fact that I am not well. If this is not the case, regularly filling out personal notes will allow you to identify other causes, sometimes more discreet, which can nevertheless have a strong influence on your well-being (low morale, anxiety attack, heart attack). panic).
JardinMental also offers an exercise (Beck's columns), frequently used in the context of behavioral and cognitive therapies (CBT). This exercise allows you to analyze your automatic thoughts (or dysfunctional thoughts), by analyzing their cause and their consequences, thus allowing a restructuring of your thinking. We recommend discussing this exercise in a session with your therapist.
Jardin Mental is a support in your recovery. On the other hand, it cannot replace a consultation, does not allow a medical diagnosis to be made (mood disorders, depression, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, eating disorder, anorexia, bulimia, paranoid disorder, etc.) or to contact a healthcare professional. In the event of a psychiatric emergency (particularly in the event of suicidal thoughts), you can contact the emergency services or the assistance numbers offered in the application, “Talk to someone” section in the menu.
