The Maharashtra State Dental Council
The Maharashtra State Dental Council is the statutory body created as per the provision of section 21 of the Dentist Act, 1948 with an object to regulate the profession of Dentistry. Accordingly the then Bombay Government constituted Maharashtra State Dental Council vide Government Notification No.2338/33, dated 21/09/1951. This is not a profit making institution and the income earned by way of fees is used for the maintainance of this council and the income and expenditure is audited by the office of Chief Auditor, Local Fund Account, Maharashtra State.
