They mark the hours, in the morning they wake us up, in the evening they wish us good night. Many times we wait for this greeting for a prayer and to get up or, in the evening, to turn off the lights and sleep.
Through them, the Lord makes himself heard, performing melodies that speak to the heart. One of the fundamental symbolisms of bells is that they have always represented the voice of God.
The ringing of bells par excellence is that of Easter. During the song of the Gloria in the Easter vigil, the silence of Holy Saturday is shattered with the wild ringing of the bells in the church and
of the festive bells on the bell tower. The sound of the bells is the one that can best express the joy of the believer who encounters the Risen Christ.
It is beautiful to listen to the sound of the bells singing the glory of the Lord by all creatures. And then each of us carries within us a very sensitive bell: this bell is called the heart. This heart plays, plays and I always hope that your heart always plays beautiful melodies; melodies of gratitude, thanks to God and praise to the Lord.
