What is Better Home's cooking class?

Better Home's cooking classes are held once a month for half a year, as well as one-day classes and online classes with themes such as seasonal handicrafts and food culture.

“Learn the basics of cooking that are immediately useful and last a lifetime”

① Convey Japanese home cooking
A nutritionally balanced meal using seasonal ingredients. We will teach you how to make delicious meals for everyday meals and seasonal events.

② Acquire food knowledge and wisdom
You can learn various things through cooking, such as nutrition, how to choose ingredients, beautiful presentation, and eating manners.

③ I can understand the reason of "why"
The Better Home way is to tell them why they do it. I can believe it, so I won't forget it. That's why you'll acquire skills that will last a lifetime.

④Anyone can participate
Many men as well as women are taking the course. Different ages. Don't worry if it's your first time cooking. There are also classes for men only.

⑤I value what I eat.
We will teach you how to save and ingenuity to use up ingredients without waste.

[Selectable course style]
・Course system
Twice a year in May and November. You can learn while stepping up once a month (6 times in total) for half a year.
※If there are empty seats in the class, it is OK to join in the middle of the class.

・Ticket system
Can be taken once. You can start as soon as you think of it.

In addition, there are trial classes that start from 1,000 yen, and online classes that can be taken at home using ZOOM.

[About Better Home recipes]
The recipes developed by Better Home's cooking class teachers have been tested and tested many times so that anyone can make delicious recipes without failure.

・Use materials that are easy to obtain (write substitutes for those that are difficult to obtain).
・Specify the amount of seasoning properly, not just the "appropriate amount".
・Be as specific as possible about the amount of ingredients. For example, "1 piece of ginger" is written as "1 piece of ginger (10g)" and the weight.

In addition, in fact, even if you take one "order of ingredients", there is a particular commitment unique to Better Home. Not only is it easy to make, but we are also devising ways to not increase the amount of washing.

・ tablespoon → teaspoon
・Solid or powdered materials → Liquid materials

Placing solid or powdered ingredients before liquid ingredients is easier because it reduces the time and effort needed to wash the measuring spoon.
Recipes are read from top to bottom. It's definitely easier to make if the ground sesame comes out first. The accumulation of such small ingenuity creates recipes that are easy for anyone to make.
