WO Tennis APP
Its objective is to provide a simple and pragmatic response to a recurring frustration in the world of competitive tennis, by connecting a player forced to withdraw from a tournament with a community of players. or players likely to replace him (her).
How it works ?
Competitors download the WO Tennis application, then register on the application, including notification criteria, which can be changed at any time. The player forced to withdraw, meanwhile, provides information on the WO Tennis application, the details of the match he will not be able to play. The application then identifies, through their profile and notification criteria, players in the WO Tennis community likely to replace the forfeited player. Only those targeted players are notified of the possibility of replacement. These competitors can then accept (or ignore) the replacement proposal. The place is taken by the first player who accepts it (according to the logic, "first come, first served").
With WO Tennis, "everyone wins"!
The declarer forfeit, if he is replaced, thus avoids a penalty. The replacement benefits from a very valuable opportunity, that of entering a tournament late, without having registered beforehand. The opponent of the withdrawing player sees his opponent replaced. He therefore maintains a progressive level of matches in his tournament. Finally, the JAT (Tournament Referee), for his part, manages his tournament optimally by limiting the number of WO.
What is the price of this service?
Downloading and using the app and registering for WO Tennis are free.
The application allows you, for one year, to consult all the WO replacement notifications corresponding to your targeting criteria, to declare all the WOs necessary for the good progress of your season, and to accept as many replacements as you wish. .
How to declare a WO and be replaced?
Step 1: once your WO Tennis account has been created, you have the possibility, at any time, to declare a WO (1st round only) for which you have just been invited and to which you will not be able to attend and will be therefore forced to withdraw.
Step 2: fill in the information relating to the match for which you wish to be replaced (club, location, date and time of the convocation, playing surface, categories and format of play, JAT contact details, etc.); The earlier you declare your forfeit in WO Tennis, the more likely you will be that WO Tennis will find a replacement for you.
Step 3: WO notifications are sent automatically and in a targeted manner to players registered on WO Tennis (to actually receive them, you can quit the application, but you must remain logged in); you will receive a notification as soon as WO Tennis finds you a replacement.
Step 4: you will receive a summary email indicating the contact details of the player who agreed to replace you.
Step 5: all you have to do is inform the JAT of your replacement (mandatory step and your responsibility) and, if you have already paid for your tournament registration, ask them to proceed with the refund.
