WINTIPMIS

WINTIP is developed “To increase availability, accessibility, quality of data and to ensure it reaches the right people, at the right time, in the right form, to get the correct information for making the most informed decisions.”

Winrock International is a recognized leader in U.S. and international development, providing solutions to some of the world’s most complex social, agricultural and environmental challenges. Inspired by its namesake Winthrop Rockefeller, Winrock’s mission is to empower the disadvantaged, increase economic opportunity and sustain natural resources.
Winrock is a nonprofit organization that implements a portfolio of more than 140 agriculture, environment and social development projects in over 46 countries. In September 2017 the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded Winrock International the five-year USAID Thailand Counter Trafficking in Persons (USAID Thailand CTIP) Activity, which aims to reduce TIP and better protect the rights of trafficked persons in Thailand. A web-based management information system (MIS) called “WINTIP” developed under USAID Thailand CTIP project, allowing for data and information to be in one place. The system can quickly generate
reports to be used for reliable, effective and evidence-based decision-making at all levels. MIS information will be used to track progress on program activities, key performance indicators, donor reporting, internal reporting, identifying success stories and the cost-effectiveness of program
implementation.

WINTIP stands for:
W-WISDOM: It is WISE as it will have all the information in one place so anyone can use it at any point in time for better decision making and strengthening of the project's MEL outputs.
I-INFORMATICS: It will guide all levels on the progress and gap areas of the project and will allow people to learn through evidence and adopt best practices.
N-NARROW DOWN: It will drill down data to the minute level and will allow the data to be reviewed and confirmed with backing documentation.
T-TIMELINESS: It is a real-time system that captures information in both an offline and online mode. Once the data is entered, it can be seen by all who are working on the project that will help to monitor activity progress including target vs achievement.
I-INTEGRITY: Data is entered only by authorized individuals, and that will improve the integrity of the data.
P-PRECISION: Quality checks have been built-in to improve the accuracy of data, ensure consistency between different data points and to reduce errors. Disaggregated data is available for all indicators for all activities.
