Tipu Sultan was a ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore renowned for his bravery in the wars against the British East India Company. Tipu Sultan introduced a number of administrative innovations during his rule, including his coinage, a new Mauludi lunisolar calendar, and a new land revenue system that initiated the growth of the Mysore silk industry.

Tipu Sultan was a great freedom fighter.his real name is Shareef Sultan Fateh Ali Khan Tipu, but he is best known as Sultan Tipu or Tipu Sultan. Tipu Sultan was the ruler of the kingdom of Mysore (southern India).he fought the war against the British army in India. this is an example of his bravery that the British army could not dare to come near to his dead body for a long after his martyrdom.
