Text To Calendar APP
It will be parsed for you!
Examples are
Can you meet tomorrow at 3?
Lunch 5/2 at 1300
Call Joe 4/23 0700 PST
Thursday at noon let's meet at the coffee shop
Tomorrow at 5:00p
Movie night June 5 at 8-09:30PM
The date will be parsed and an event created in your own calendar!
To save a step, you can FIRST copy a title and use the handy Paste button and this will become the calendar event title.
Some SMS text message apps allow you to share the message; try sharing a message with date and time to Text To Calendar
All the text you share or send with the menu option also appear in your appointment description, so it can help to highlight extra text, like "Conference is at 6/2/2021 at noon PDT. Bring your notebook. We are meeting at the coffee shop on Elm Street." But be careful the extra text doesn't include 4 digit numbers or anything else that can be confused with dates or times. If there ARE extra numbers, just be careful to only highlight the real date and time. This improves with experience, PLUS I might be able to use probability, eg, 1032 probably won't be a time if I also already found a reasonable start and end time. This ability (in a future release) will allow you to highlight a lot more text for your calendar notes.
Extracting location would also be nice, but I'm not sure yet of a way to do that without paying for geolocation web services.
Please send any date text that fails so I can make the software smarter. (Multiday events not yet supported, nor are dates like d/m/yyyy)
