SNEHA

Maternal and Child Malnutrition in India is a major cause of mortality and morbidity and needs to be tackled on a war footing. SNEHA is an integrated solution to be used by field workers, health service providers and officials to track and manage the nutritional and health needs of children and mothers.

To address the complex environment involving multiple stakeholders and multiple systems, SNEHA has been designed as a “Multi-Sectoral” solution, which cuts across the Department of Women and Child Development and the Department of Health and family Welfare. The solution integrates the process of malnutrition and reproductive health mgmt. across multiple departments and presents consistent and unified data of children, mothers and families.

The SNEHA APP addresses the needs of the grassroots workers (Anganwadi Workers, ASHA and the ANMs) through inclusive design and equips them with the right information, tools and resources to effectively deliver service to the end beneficiaries. In this process, automation of daily administrative tasks is addressed too.

Apart from seamless integration of process and data, the app incorporates AI techniques to improve service delivery and authentication for day to day services by Anganwadi workers.

In summary, SNEHA ensures the complete life-cycle management of health and nutrition issues of children and mothers involving “on-time detection”, “prompt treatment” and “effective community management”.
