Brazil is a continental country with immense cultural diversity! This applies even in speech and writing, with the uniqueness characteristic of different regions. In relation to medicine, and particularly to ultrasound, two factors make the exams present the systematization and elaboration of such different reports: professional training and the quality of the ultrasound device! Thus, this manual was envisioned by SBUS in order to establish a minimum basic standardization that would be used by all professionals, and with other complementary parameters that are also important, but which sometimes requires more from the professional, and especially the ultrasound equipment. The authors were therefore asked to refer to protocols from our own specialized medical societies as well as from other well-known services.
