Shree Narmada Sugar Industry Cooperative Ltd Dharikheda is the only factory of large scale set up in Bharuch, a tribally backward and economically weak area of the Narmada district. The crushing capacity of which was 2500 mt per day which modification is done and now it is crushing 6000 mt per day. The organization has set up an advanced distillery project of 45 KLPD at a cost of 60 crores. It is a modern project and the first in Gujarat and the third in the country to produce ethanol from sugarcane pulp, B-heavy molasses, and C-heavy molasses. National Federation Co.Op.-New Delhi 14 awards at the National level from Sugar Factories, 2 awards from Sugar Technologists Association, 1 award from National Co-operative Development Corporation- New Delhi, and 4 awards at the Gujarat level. Thus the organization has received a total of 21 awards. This organization is a lifeline for the farmers of this area. The farmers of this area have become economically viable due to the setting up of sugar factories in tribal areas.

Namida Sugar is the only organization in Gujarat that manufactures sulfur lash sugar. All departments of the organization are computerized. Sugar cane payments as well as other payments are cash lashed. SMS of crushed sugarcane to the members of the organization. The weight is sent immediately by SMS and the watertight card information is sent by SMS. A survey of sugarcane fields is done with a GPS system and a computerized survey report is given to the members.

In order to benefit the farmer councilors of this area more at home, the organization has created a mobile app through which the farmer can get information about his farm such as planting, irrigation, weight, payment, and other information at home. Farmers can get maximum benefits by using mobile application.
