Pooler

Pooler is designed to ring-fence data of individual schools. This means you do not see data that belongs to other schools. Data is preloaded from your child's school and you then offer or find a ride in 2 easy steps:

1.One-time registration where you:
a.Select the child/ren who will be part of the ride-share (applicable only if you have more than one child in the school)
b.Indicate (for each child selected) whether you are looking for a ride for that child or offering a ride for other children
c.The direction of the ride – i.e., drop to school or pick-up from school
d.If you are offering a ride, the number of children you can carry (capped at 4 – assuming a 7-seater vehicle, room available for comfortable seating of children other than for your own child and the person driving your vehicle)

How is Pooler safe?
1.Ring-fenced data: Pooler is pre-loaded with data from your child's school. Hence it is guaranteed that only parents of children studying in the same school as your child, are visible to you (and vice-versa)
2.Ride only with someone you know: The app shows you not only the names of the parents offering or seeking a ride, but also the name and class/section of the child. This helps you make a conclusive identification
3.Own-use vehicles only: by ring-fencing the data commercial operators are not included in this app
4.Direct contact outside the app: The app only helps you find a ride. The actual coordination of the ride happens only after you have established one-on-one contact with other parent/child.

Never set-up a ride-share arrangement – whether you are sending your child with someone or offering other children a ride – with someone you haven't met and till you have satisfied yourself with all aspects of the ride's safety. These aspects could include quality of driving, conduct of other occupants and more.
