Back2Nature is a unique initiative to bring natural & chemical free food habits back into our lives. With lifestyle diseases on the rise, people are keenly exploring clean and healthy alternative food sources such as organic food. Back2Nature strongly believes that going back to natural resources would create a virtuous cycle of giving healthy food to our future generations, keep our natural resources in a clean state & help uplift the lives of the farmers who practise this form of cultivation.
Back2Nature Organix (B2NO) works with thousands of farmers in Odisha to cultivate tens of thousands of sustainable organic farmland. All of our farmers are educated in organic and biodynamic agricultural practices. We guide them throughout the cultivation, we pay all the fees associated with acquiring the necessary organic certifications for them, and then we purchase the harvested crops at a premium market price. This means farming families are supported by a sustainable income, while at the same time improving and preserving their own health and natural environment. All B2NO products support health and true wellness and are made with loving care. Each product is one link in the chain of connectedness between Mother Nature, our farmers and all consumers.
We are currently cultivating different indigenous aromatic rice, viz. New Kalazira, New Chinikamini, New Ketaki Juha, Pimpudibasa, Pateni & Gitanjali in Kharif season and pulses like Black Gram, Green Gram, Arhar, etc. in Rabi season on our farmers’ fields organically in various district of Odisha. We also grow Cashew, Orange, Pineapple, Lemon, etc in Odisha. We give foremost importance to our cultivation process by which it not only reduces the cultivation expense of farmers but also protects our mother nature
To manage the records of the farmers and the different types of organic crops in a digital manner, we have created a mobile application named “Organic Kheti”. Our field agents and staff can use Organic Kheti application to do the registration of the farmers, capture their KYC details. These data from Organic Kheti application are uploaded to the backend system of B2NO. This helps reduce the turnaround time of associating them with the system and maintaining their records. We will subsequently introduce the procurement module in Organic Kheti application as well to capture the quantity of crops produced, purchased and payments made to the farmers.
All data will be stored securely in the backend system and will be further utilized to do analysis of the organic produce coverage and socio-economic progress of the farmers associated with B2NO.
