The Landmark Application is a new and innovative android application which makes use of modern technologies and techniques to represent the new era of mapping applications, with the Landmark Application we chose to incorporate a safe and secure user login and registration which would allow users travel data and locations to remain safe and secure, The Landmark Application allows users to view nearby locations which in turn makes it a lot easier for the users to navigate the area as well as to allow them to easily interact and comprehend our mapping system by referencing popular landmarks of the area they are situated at, our application allows for users to filter landmarks in order to only view a specific type/kind of landmark which they have been searching for, The Landmark Application allows for users to view their current location/position on the map which is depicted by a user-location pin, this will allow for users to view landmarks nearby as well as to view the routes in which they will need to take to reach their destination. Our application allows for the user to select a specific landmark on the map, which is close to if not there required their destination, and how a route in which the user can follow. On The Landmark Application we provide users with multiple routes as well as indication of the time required to travel on each route, our application not only indicated the estimated time it would take on the route but it also indicates the estimated distance in which users will have to travel to reach their destination. The Landmark Application supports an automated dark mode feature that is enabled when your device is set to dark mode.
