HOTEN

HOTEN is Manipur's first online and real time archive of Press Releases. Press releases in Manipur function as community vehicles for non-anonymous, accountable information dissemination and argument building. Hoten aims to build digital mechanisms for archiving all the press releases; utilise non-algorithmic, contextualised curation of the content and meta data; make them searchable and non-erasable. HOTEN's Local Feed is designed to archive all the Press Releases of Manipur according to relevant channels. We hope that the Local Feed of HOTEN serves the media fraternity, scholars, and concerned citizens of Manipur as a library resource for fact checking and issue tracing.

HOTEN is a public interest technology platform for the indigenous communities of Manipur. The HOTEN Hub is where we collaborate with individuals, organisations, personas, artists etc for in-depth, slow narrative building efforts that centre on Manipur’s indigenous communities and languages.
