HeartBit APP

HeartBit app allows you to participate in research by filling out surveys and sharing your health data. HeartBit application is used exclusively for the purposes of research. If an individual decides to participate in the studies provided/served by CWRU from the Li Lab through the services provided by REDCap he/she will be provided with credentials such as UUID and group code, that could be used to login into the HeartBit mobile application. Unless an individual signs up for the study, he/she will be unable to use the application.

At the point of signing into the application, the credentials used are de-identified from the user. While using the application user is given an option to take daily surveys. HeartBit only collects information that the user voluntarily submits to us. The application collects survey data that is completely de-identified from the user and then sends that information to the server for analysis in the study.

The application also allows users to connect to the Google Fit and Fitbit account for the purpose of data collection. At the point of sending the data to the server, the data is completely de-identified from the user. All the survey and health data are used exclusively for the purposes of research. HeartBit does not disclose nor share user data with third parties.
