GP Activity Mapping

The Gram Panchayat (GP), as the local government in rural areas, is primarily responsible for delivery of various local services to their residents. The Institutional Strengthening of Gram Panchayat Project (ISGPP) aims at strengthening the institutional processes related to decision making and implementation with better participation, transparency and accountability; building capacity at all levels including mentoring and better oversight functioning and monitoring the coverage and quality of services delivered.

ISGPP Activity Mapping app helps in providing knowledge of whether all the processes like planning and other pre-implementation activities were properly followed and how and where the services are actually being delivered. It also helps in viewing spatial distribution of service delivery institutions, works taken up for planned development and location and nature of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) works, which results in judging the access, coverage and possible impacts of the investments being made.

Through this app, users can also geo-tag planned activities over the time (time-stamped), such as, before starting the work, the next one is during progress of work and the final one is after completion of the work. Thus location; physical look of the pre-work stage; date and time of starting any work will be precisely known and the same can be visible on the web-map.
