For 01.12.2007 the municipality grave field created by the merger of the formerly independent political communities Behrungen, Berkach, Bibra, Exdorf with district Obendorf, Jüchsen, Nordheim, Queienfeld, Rentwertshausen, Schwickershausen and Wolfmannshausen. On 01.01.2012 Bauerbach happened.
