GANG is a natively token-gated group chat app.

This means that if you have an NFT in your wallet, you will instantly be able to chat to all other holders of the same collection (that are on gang). There is no other way to enter a group chat.

INSTANT

When you log into GANG for the first time, the app creates a new Ethereum wallet for you automatically. We then mint our NFT to your newly-created wallet, which gives you access to our Gangstar group chat.

The process takes about 30 seconds.

If you didn’t have a wallet — or didn’t know what a wallet was — now you do.


SAFE

GANG wallet generation happens locally, which means that your secrets never leave your device.

Only you have access to your private key and secret phrase. Security is handled by Apple Keychain's AES-256-GCM encryption. You can view and export them easily from the wallet drop-down.

If you don’t save your private key, it will be lost forever: we have no way of recovering it (nor does anybody).

But who cares?

You can just start over and create a new wallet :)


ANONYMOUS

If you hold an NFT in your wallet, you can chat to other holders.

You don’t need to disclose any other personal information. If you connect more than one wallet to your GANG wallet, other users will only be able to see the wallet which owns the NFT you’re using to chat.


OFFICIAL

It’s physically impossible to enter a gang chat without holding the required NFT — or for someone to post in the collection channel without having access to the contract owner address.

This means that all chats are intrinsically safe and all channel announcement are inherently verified.

The chance of getting scammed is virtually 0.


OPEN

If you hold an NFT, you don’t need to ask your contract owner to create a GANG chat.

If the smart contract exists on the blockchain and you have an NFT generated by that contract, you and all other holders have access to the chat. This is self-organisation and decentralised community in its purest form.


PROFITABLE

One of the (upcoming) features which we’re most excited about is the possibility of creating new NFT collections inside GANG. This will allow you to run a content platform & community in the same place.

In a few taps, you will be able to generate a new smart contract and choose chain, standard, pricing model (one-off or membership) and price.

You will then be able to upload content of any kind and sell it through your NFTs, and your holders will be able to talk to each other — and to you — in contextual chats.
