Its a mobile phone application that allows the users to create and share videos in a pre-defined format, optimised for creating citizen journalism content for broadcast media outlets. User created videos, through a dedicated website will be available online. More importantly, the videos through a specialised software will be directly downloaded to units installed in the headquarters of three major private television outlets in a ‘news-feed’ format. The idea is to encourage media outlets to use citizens’ generated video content in their daily news reporting, thereby increasing the focus on public interest journalism.
