The guide is a kind of thematic, socio-economic maps, intended primarily for tourists. It consists of the following layers: topographic (base) and tourist-sightseeing (thematic). The main purpose of the guide is to facilitate the planning and implementation of trips, excursions, as well as sports and recreational activities.

The application allows users to use an interactive map covering the area of ​​the Opolskie Voivodeship and the Olomouc Region with marked attractions divided into categories. After clicking on a given location, the user will get more information about the place (attraction) - description, history, curiosities, prices, multimedia (e.g. promotional videos), trails and other useful information for a tourist.

The guide will allow the tourist to plan a sightseeing route based on the information provided. He will also be able to mark the places he wants to visit. In turn, by selecting one of the routes, he will be able to use it offline or online on his smartphone and start tourist activity according to his own preferences.

The Mobile Guide to the Opolskie Voivodeship and the Olomouc Region (E-Tourist) project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund and the budget of the Opolskie Voivodeship under the INTERREG V-A Czech Republic - Poland Program. The project is implemented by the Opolskie Voivodeship in partnership with the Olomouc Region, Jeseníky - Sdružení cestovního ruch and Střední Morava - Sdružení cestovního ruch.
