The mechanics of this game are simple, don't let anything cross the line and get to the top of the rankings.

You are a stick figure farmer that lives in the countryside, in the city there has been a massive attack and all the stick figures are looking for refuge and supplies in your house. They are armed and ready to kill you to get your things so you can't let them cross the line.
