Detentions

Welcome to the Detentions App - an app designed for teachers in UK schools that use ESS's SIMS Management Interface System (MIS).


The Detentions App integrates directly with SIMS allowing teachers and staff to see their school's detention rota and save attendance back to SIMS using their mobile device.

Teachers can filter the detention rota to find detentions that are only relevant to them.

Once in a detention register, you can easily get further details of why each student has been placed in detention and filter / search for specific student groups.

Student attendance can also be taken by either:

•Tapping on students
•Scanning in student QR codes or Barcodes
•Scanning RFID or NFC ID cards*

Once attendance is taken, it can be written back to SIMS along with any supporting comments for each student.

* note only certain types of IDs are supported - please see https://detentions.app for further details.

Note: Your school must have an active Detention App licence to log in and use this app. Any school can instantly sign up and install a 40 day free trail - just speak to your Network Manager.
