Let Hoffmann von Fallersleben accompany you on your journey of discovery through the Corvey Monastery. The audio tour takes you through the monastery and conveys the art, culture and history of the important place.
Known as the poet of the German national anthem, Hoffmann von Fallersleben gives you an insight into the history of the former Benedectine monastery. As librarian at the Princely Library, he himself worked in Corvey for over 14 years. He will also show you his literary realm. On the way through today's palace complex, you will encounter historical personalities who shaped Corvey in the most varied of eras and facets.
On the tour, for example, you will meet Abbot Adalhard von Corbie, the cousin of Charlemagne. You will learn why the Springladen organ is something special and why Abbot Florence had the new abbey building built.
