Colorado Springs is a municipality in the United States of America and the capital and most populous city of El Paso County in the State of Colorado. The city is located 60 miles (97 km) south of the Denver Capitol.
The United States Air Force Academy opened just north of Colorado Springs in 1958. The city is home to 24 national sport governing bodies, including the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, the United States Olympic Training Center, Swimming USA and Hockey USA.
In 2018 US News named Colorado Springs as the most desirable place to live in the United States.
