Clock myRun APP

Clock myRun will initially start up with default settings. Once changed, the settings will be saved.
Touch the Run button at the top of the screen to quickly see the run settings. To change the settings, touch the settings icon in the top right-hand corner.
GPS is required to measure distance so please make sure that location is enabled. At start up, the GPS location button may have a wide radius. It is acquiring satellites. For best accuracy, wait for the radius to get close to the size of the inner solid dot.
Touch the "Start" button to start the countdown to "GO". At the end of the countdown, the starting sound will go off. When you reach your set distance, the timer will automatically stop.
If false start detection is enabled, it will display "Get Set in: xx Sec" and there will be an additional "set" command.
NOTE: GPS location data is not collected if the app is moved to the background. If your run was in progress, on return to foreground, results will be unpredictable. You may use the split screen mode to run this app alongside another app.

Touch the menu button in the top left corner to open the drawer. Touch "Preferences" to set preferred values. Touch any of the items to bring up a selection dialog box.

Run Settings:
Use the +/- buttons to change the settings. Touch the 10x or the 100x button to increase/decrease a setting by 10 or 100 units. For distance only, if you prefer, use the keyboard to enter your distance.
GPS reports distances in meters so all computations are done in meters. There is a miles converter below the +/- buttons. If you want a specific distance in miles, just increase or decrease the distance until the converter shows your desired miles.

Update interval:
Allows you to select spoken updates at the specified intervals of time or distance. To avoid sound overlapping, minimum interval is 20 meters, or 5 seconds if interval is set to Sec.

Starting Mode:
Default is "Start on sound". The sound track can be selected in the "preferences" menu.
Turn off to enable "Start on motion". You will have up to 10 seconds after the countdown is completed, to start the timer by movement. Motion sensitivity can be adjusted in the "preferences" menu.
High sensitivity means that very slight movements will trigger the motion detector while low sensitivity requires more vigorous motion. If "Start on motion" is selected, false start detection is disabled. Start on motion can be used if you have a traditional starter or if you want to move at your will.

False start detection:
When enabled, there will be an additional "Set" command. The set command is held for a random amount of time. Stay still at set, otherwise, false start will be detected and you will have to return to start. There is a built-in 0.1 second period after the gun goes off where any movement will also result in a false start. This is in adherence to the IAAF rules.

Runs/Charts:
View your runs here. Scroll up or down to see all of your runs. Only about 4 runs are displayed at the same time.
Touch any run to see the detailed charts for that run. You will see point to point data for the entire run. There are four charts that can be displayed, your speed (m/sec and mph) and altitude (m and feet) over the distance of the run. Speed is good to show your performance over the run. Altitude is important for distance running and hiking. Press one of the four buttons to display the appropriate plot.
Occasionally, you may see an outlier in the run or altitude data (for instance, if you stopped during a walk or run. You can delete that data point if you like, by swiping left or right.
On this same run page, above the chart, in the right corner, touch the flag icon to display a map of your run.
Back on the Runs/Charts page, swipe left or right on any run to delete the run. Once deleted, you cannot recover it. To see multiple times for a specific distance, enter the distance to trend. For instance, if you want to see all of you 100m runs, enter 100.
