Christ Matriculation Higher Secondary School, founded in 1995
Christ Matriculation Higher Secondary School, founded in 1995, adds yet another feather to the bejewelled crown of more than 175 years of education by the CMI (Carmelite of Mary Immaculate) Fathers and run by Preshitha Province, Coimbatore. CMI was the first indigenous male religious congregation, founded by Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara in 1831. Moreover, he laid the foundations for all the progressive fields of activities to which the congregation is committed at present in over 31 countries around the globe – the Indian contribution to global humanity at large. We strive to fulfill that dream of our Founder by serving educationally, socially and humanitarian in various capacities. Initially, the school had been dedicated to giving education to economically backward children. However, as unaided schools have been increasing around the school, it has now recommitted itself to providing excellent academics with the assistance of appropriate technological advances.
