Cancard

Cancard is a card issued by Cancard Ltd to its membership which is evidence that a cardholder has a qualifying condition for which medical cannabis may be prescribed. Cancard is an indication to law enforcement and the general public that a person possessing cannabis is doing so for medicinal reasons. Police forces in the UK have been briefed on Cancard by the National Police Chiefs counsel that police officers should feel confident in using their discretion when they encounter a Cancard holder in possession of small quantities of cannabis for medicinal purposes.
