What is Boligmappa?
The housing folder collects data and documentation about all buildings and homes in Norway in one place. The information is available to you as the owner - when and where you need it. Today, housing portfolios have been created for over 1.7 million houses, cottages and apartments across the country, in addition to commercial buildings, municipal buildings, castles and the Storting. All properties that have a farm and use number have a housing folder.
Why use Boligmappa?
Good technical documentation on the home is useful to have today and value-adding if you are ever going to sell. In addition, it can be nice to refer to your insurance company, and it can be easier to complain if something should go wrong.
Only craft companies with the paperwork in order are allowed to document work in the Housing Folder. This means that the documentation you receive comes from a serious and secure company.
Did you know that the Housing Purchase Act (Disposal Act) will soon be new? It is no longer allowed to sell a home "as it is" and it takes less to call something a defect you can claim compensation for. This will make documentation on construction and housing more important than before.
