Bogar is a Siddhar. He is considered as one of the 18 siddhars born in the world.
Bogar followed so closely in the footsteps of Saiva Siddhanta's 8th century founder Tirumoolar that one is often amazed at the continuity of teaching and principle preserved and sustained over a period of one thousand years.
