Bíblia King James 1611 APP

The 1611 King James Bible is described as one of the most important publications in history, and also the most faithful to the Textus Receptus.

King James I of England brought together the greatest religious scholars and linguists for a new translation of the Bible in order to establish the most accurate and most dignified translation to date. He appointed 54 scholars to work on the translation, and 47 worked in six groups at three locations for seven years.

Upon completion, the King James Bible was first printed in 1611 by Robert Barker. The Bible was very large, about 40cm tall. Because of the high cost and value, it was announced to the churches that the Bible should be chained in the pulpits.

The 1611 Bible was authorized to be read in churches, which is why it was called the Authorized Version. Anyway, we at BV Books are happy to be able to present the Authorized Portuguese Version of the King James Bible.
