Brazil Book and Reading Biennial
The largest event dedicated to letters in central Brazil, BIENAL BRASIL DO BOOK AND READING arrives at the fourth edition in 2018. Between August 18 and 26, the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center in Brasilia will host discussion tables, launches of books, meetings with writers, artistic presentations, tributes and a great diversity of booths of publishers and bookstores, presenting launches and unpublished titles. The event will bring for the first time to Brazil authors such as the award-winning Nigerian Chigozie Obioma - from the novel "The Fishermen", praised by literary critics as "'The African Pipeline Hunter' - and propose in-depth reflections on ' it's us, "which invites us to dive into the experiences of others to feel their pains and desires. The 4th BIENNIAL BRAZIL OF THE BOOK AND READING is an InterCult - Cultural Management and Production, with general direction of Suzzy Souza and curatorship of the journalists and writers Sergio Leo and José Rezende Jr and the translator Lídia Luther.
