AVOSOS

This app about childhood cancer is aimed at doctors of the SUS Network of the State of Sergipe. The objective is to facilitate the clinical evaluation of children and adolescents (0 to 18 years old) with signs and symptoms of suspicion of childhood cancer and the referral of these to the Screening Clinic of the Association of Volunteers on Oncology Service in Sergipe (AVOSOS), which streamlines the investigation exams.

After the investigation is completed, AVOSOS sends the result of the diagnosis to the original Health Service. In addition, the institution conducts the confirmed patient to the Reference Service for Oncological Treatment in the State, Hospital de Urgência de Sergipe (HUSE).

In addition, AVOSOS offers consultations with pediatricians for suspected cases of childhood cancer, free of charge, for the SUS patient, through the Cooperation Agreement with the Health Departments of the State of Sergipe and the municipality of Aracaju, at no cost to these departments. It is also important to highlight that patients undergoing treatment receive comprehensive assistance from AVOSOS, through the Casa Tia Ruth for Supporting Children and Adolescents with Cancer.
