Welcome to Averted! The app which challenges you to “avert” the impending disaster - can you stop the town from flooding?
AIM
This app is aimed at challenging the perception of engineering in young people (aged 8-12) through a series of interactive challenges themed around the field of disaster management. The first of these revolves around the placement of flood defences to protect towns/cities from a forecasted flood event. Users will learn about how engineers try to stop disasters impacting our towns/cities. More challenges will appear in the future
