ATENA is a private, non-profit entity, with legal basis in the Federal Constitution in its article 5, inc. XVII, XVIII, XIX, XX and XXI, as well as in the Civil Code, in its article 53 and following, governed by the legislation applicable to civil associations whose object is mutual assistance, and whose objective is to defend and promote the interests of their members. members, providing members with a list of benefits and support, through mutual assistance or through contracted providers, with all its activities based on the principle of association.

ATENA operates as a “RESTRICTED MUTUAL HELP AND SELF-MANAGEMENT GROUP”, under the terms described in Article 2 of Decree/Law No. 2,063 of 1940 and in Statement No. 185 of the III Civil Law Conference of the Federal Justice Council, this ATENA aims to establish mutual benefits for its members.

ATENA IS NOT AN INSURANCE COMPANY, but rather an entity with legal personality that operates with MUTUAL HELP, enabling the union of each member with their peers to provide them with favored conditions, and should not be treated under any circumstances as a business company, considering the peculiarities of the MUTUAL AID program, especially regarding the sharing of event expenses among members and the complete absence of profit-making purposes.
