The IREN SUR is an institute specializing in oncological diseases that contributes to the improvement of health and quality of life of the population of the Southern Macro Region by offering comprehensive care in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and palliative care of cancer patients, based on the highest scientific and technological quality under criteria of universality and efficiency.

We opened the doors to the public user in November 2009 and from that date we assume the challenge of creating a culture in the population aimed at promoting self-care of health and reducing the risks and oncological damage caused by unhealthy lifestyles .

Through personalized and humanized treatment of our staff we ensure the satisfaction of health expectations of more than 6 million people.

Through the Cancer Prevention and Control Program, we provide preventive care in health promotion and screening of the most frequent cancers.

Another significant fact that determines the growth of our institution are the important contributions to the epidemiology of cancer in our country.

The development of teaching activities in pre and postgraduate allows to train future professionals and specialists in the oncological branches of health. Likewise, we integrate teaching and specialized research into our functions aimed at promoting and recovering health in a timely and accessible manner, allowing personalized oncological treatments that guarantee a prolonged survival with higher quality for our cancer patients.
