Since the service began in 2011, more than 280,000 pets have found foster homes at Pet Home, which includes pets rescued by conservationists, pets housed in rescue centers nationwide, and their owners. We receive information from all over the country looking for foster parents for pets that we have no choice but to give up. (Approximately 3,700 protection organizations, including local governments, are recruiting foster parents.)

"Pet Home" serves as a meeting place for people who want to become foster parents and pets looking for owners, supports animal protection activists, fosters a pet foster culture, and exists as a safety net for pets. We are doing so.


We are looking for foster parents for a variety of pets, from popular breeds to cool mixes, mainly dogs and cats. The number of cases is over 30,000 per year. In order to improve the environment in which pets are kept, please consider fostering a family member.

We are recruiting foster parents for pets, mainly dogs and cats, but with the aim of protecting Japan's natural environment, we are looking for foster homes for all kinds of animals that cannot continue to be kept due to unavoidable circumstances, such as ornamental fish and reptiles. It is now possible to post recruitment for animal foster parents.


Thanks to the cooperation of volunteers across the country, ``Pet Home'' also includes information on dogs and cats that are being housed at public health centers and animal welfare centers and are awaiting euthanasia.


You can also register as a member at the city hall or animal welfare center, and they will post information on foster parents. In addition, anyone, whether a corporation or an individual, can post a foster parent recruitment application.


In order to maintain a safe adoption environment, we have a system where applicants/posters share ratings, and you can check the usage history and ratings of all members who use foster parent recruitment.


In order to protect the small lives of pets, we have established strict transfer rules under the guidance of the Ministry of the Environment. We ask for your cooperation in complying with the rules, including the exchange of stipulated transfer pledges. Pet Home®︎ is an official sponsor with support members who support Pet Home®︎'s activities such as "operating a healthy foster parent recruitment platform" and "providing supplies and medical support for rescued dogs and cats."
