Gungi is a turn-based board game like shogi or chess.
The purpose is to take the enemy's "teacher" and clog it.

Gungi differs from shogi and chess in two major ways!
1. Initial placement of pieces is free (surplus pieces are hand pieces)
2. You can stack up to 3 pieces (tsuke)

Also, in a military council, captured pieces cannot be used again.
These rules make Gungi a complex and deep board game.
